Patricia L. McGrail, Esquire is the President and Managing Attorney of McGrail & Associates, LLC, formerly Law Offices of Patricia L. McGrail, LLC. She has been engaged in the practice of municipal and school law since 1980. She represents public sector clients in all areas of public sector law, including labor and employment, delinquent tax collection, land use and zoning. Attorney McGrail has been able to offer her public sector clients a broad range of services so that they are able to utilize the firm as a “one stop shop”, while maintaining cost effective representation for all necessary services.
Prior to founding the Law Offices of Patricia L. McGrail, LLC, Attorney McGrail was a shareholder at Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. She is a former shareholder with Metz Lewis formerly Sweeney, Metz, Fox, McGrann & Schermer, LLC and Wick, Streiff, Meyer, McGrail & O’Boyle, P.C. She received a B.A. from Marietta College in 1977 and her Juris Doctorate from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1980.
Attorney McGrail is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals, for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She was appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners and served from 2001 through 2005.
She is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, as well as the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Solicitor’s Division of the Pennsylvania School Board Association. Attorney McGrail was a member of the South Allegheny School District Board of Directors from 1983–1989 and was President of the Board in 1989. She was appointed to the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners in April 2001 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, where she served through 2006. She is Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Center for Victims, (formerly Womansplace, Inc.), and serves on the Board of the Elizabeth Township Area Emergency Medical Services, Inc.
